How can I report my mother-in-law to my husband in a way that won’t suggest that I hate or dislike her? Sometimes she tells me to do certain things that are very inconvenient.

Hi, When it comes to mothers-in-law it’s always best to avoid “reporting” to your husband. Look at it this way, if you were a child in school and someone said something about your mother you would definitely get angry and fight! Your husband is your husband BUT we must not forget he is also her son and on a normal day he will fight for her. My advice would be to treat her the way you would treat your own mother (hopefully, you have a good motherly relationship with your mother). Treat her with the love, respect and kindness you would your own mother. As much as possible cover her “sins” with love and when necessary correct her with the utmost respect and wisdom and God would want you to. This way even your own husband will naturally always defend you knowing that you love his mother. Please study these scriputures 1 Peter 4:8, Exodus 20:12, 1 Timothy 5:1-2
